The onset marker shows the first period reaching 10% of a cluster's papers. A paper in several clusters counts once in each. Filters are Timeline-local. Violins smooth raw counts over these same bins: same max width compares shape; area = cluster size preserves relative paper volume. Smoothing 0 follows the raw bins exactly.
